Practical Dosage Summary
General daily target: 300–400 mg elemental magnesium (most adults). Split doses if taking higher amounts.
For sleep & calm (evening): 200–400 mg elemental from Magnesium Glycinate 1–2 hours before bed.
For brain health & cognition: 1,000–2,000 mg Magnesium L-Threonate daily (provides ~144–200 mg elemental). Can be taken morning or evening.
